What I liked about this article was their clear call for companies to improve their data and information handling competencies. The route I believe lies in recruitment of folks who have a clear data mining and analysis mindset and have sufficient practical experience to deliver clean data and select appropriate algorithms.
If the company is highly data / information illiterate, this can be a long and slow educational experience. Working with selected communities or focus groups may be one way to highten awareness and deliver targeted solutions.
