Hi Martyn,
The standards will surely help all of us to think in the same plane and share information with the same standard.
The most negative impact of KM would be that employee of organisation will feel that the knowledge from him is being put on a place where everyone can access and so after sometime he will become redundant (This is my personal experience).In creating more awaness we should probably conduct some online conferences. Publish papers on technologies which can be very much taken in to organisations directly. Now the link of the product development and the market is missing. So i feel that if this gap is filled KM and we can succeed very much.
I am interested in knowing your views on this.
