There are some practitioner generated KM methods
and measures that are available on the following
page:

http://www.brint.com/OrgLrng.htm

Look for them in articles by Tom Stewart (Fortune) and Paul S trassmann.

There are some other measures that have been used by consulting firms such as
Andersen, however the versions I saw consisted primarily of HR kind of
surrogates of KM, most of which didn't relate to any explicit measurement of
intell ectual assests or organizational knowledge.

Scholarly research literature may be a good place to look - it contains a rich
tradition of work on organizational cognition, cognitive maps, etc. A key reference
on that topic was posted a few days ago. It is listed here again for your benefit.

Walsh, James P. "Managerial and Organizational Cognition: Notes From a Trip Down Memory Lane," Organization Science, 6(3), May-June 1995, pp. 280-321.

It contains over 450 citations which may be used for furt her in-depth research.
