Exactly this aspect of evolutionary ecology is what I am trying to grasp in my struggles to understand how one can best support evolving CoPs and how to get those CoPs to best enrich the environment they are in.
Some evolving communities in an ecosystem choke it without predators (pond weed or blue algae for instance) and so we get into food chains and other aspects of evolutionary dynamics.
Ho, the thought of predatory forces being useful inside an organisation... I think they are...but how to control them and maintain the balance...
Uncontrolled, unbalanced evolution and growth is cancerous...
