Dear All,

KM focuses on People, Process, Content & Technology;

Now, I have an interesting and curious question:

Should the CKO or the Principal Knowledge Consultant of an organisation report to CEO or Head-HR or Head-Quality or Head-Technology.....?
As an extension, should he be influenced to report to all the Heads....?

When appraising the job of a KM Person, how will be the accountability shared across these functions...?

I do appreciate the fact that the major percentage of the KM goes only in managing the people and their respective process work-flows by attempting to organize the right people to discuss the right thing at the right point in time and to top it, recording everything, and refining it later for the use of everyone of the organization...

So, technology tends to be at low-key when it comes to KM, and only the tacit and explicit knowledge plays a vital role...?

Would u mind throwing some light on this please?

Advance Thanks,

Chandrasekar.
