Hello,
If we were to take a brief look at the history of philosophy we might find that the search for certainty has played a major role.
In philosophy it was assumed that without a basis of certainty all our claims to knowledge must be suspect.
Unless some things are certain, it is held, nothing can even be probable.
Put another way, if we only believe any and all business knowledge that is certain, and we only value any business knowledge that has obvious business value, then all claims of business knowledge must be suspect.
In plain language, my own opinion is that this is obviously clap-trap.
It is important that knowledge is of value to business, which it is, but is it also important to be able to assign precise business use criteria and business value to this knowledge in order for that knowledge to be valid and of use?
Any views?
Regards,
Martyn R Jones
