Recommend you discuss the importance of determining “what” needs to be done, i.e., recognizing desired results before you discuss “how” those needs can or should be satisfied. How can people effectively manage knowledge if they do not know what they need to do?
Recommend you discuss the importance of organizational design, cultural mindset and relationships between people forming each organization. Often people begin discussing management of knowledge without considering the interrelationships between these factors.
Recommend you discuss the importance or relevance to effectively manage knowledge in any organization.
Because many interpret the meaning of the same terms in many different ways, recommend you level the playing field (up front) by defining the meaning of several key terms, such as: information, knowledge, understanding, learning, situation awareness, etc. Hopefully this information promotes knowledge you need to succeed.
