The Purpose of X is Profit, where
X = fill in whatever you want to...

Where does that leave us?

Still, one has to see anything beyond your repeated assertion: Knowledge Management must be for profit. Ok Agreed. Let me expand the horizons a bit... For the profit-minded only, X Management must be for profit. Or, how about, The Purpose of Life is Profit.

Nothing against profit per se... most business folks around here like it, want it and are doing things to make that happen.

The important point is how do you get from point A (X) to point B (profit / productivity). Without clear knowledge about this, all talk is just 'hot air'.
