The fundamental issues of KM

The fundamental issues of KM remain the same, while the solutions vary. Issues:
1. what is knowledge?
2. how do we harness or manage it?
3. how do we integrate IT solutions into the KM equation?
4. what's the difference between knowledge, info and data?
5. is KM an individual process, a group process, or both?

And finally, how do we balance knowledge creation and knowledge organisation, so that the two dynamics work together (preserve the core/stimulate progress).

Now, I present a solution in the one minute knowledge manager, and the reason I mention this is, because I present a solution. In other words, there's a methodology outlined in the book. Whether you agree with it or not, the point being, its a methodology.

The one minute knowledge manager is a kind of prototype which says, knowledge can be managed. It may not be what you're looking for, but what each company needs to do is create their own methodology, a means towards the end goal of harnessing their corporate knowledge potential. And the solution has to address all the of issues listed above. That's one of the criteria. If it doesn't, well back to the drawing board.
